Within the framework of the European Inter-Tex project, which promotes the internationalization of SMEs in the textile-clothing sector of Southeast Europe (Catalonia, Valencia, Galicia, northern Portugal and the Midi-Pyrénées region of France) Ateval has organized a Trade Show to promote products from South-West Europe in Tokyo at the Interiorlifestyle fair. This fair has been held from May 30 to June 1, 2018.
The Interreg Sudoe Program is part of the European objective of territorial cooperation known as “Interreg”, financed through one of the funds of the European regional policy: the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
Ten companies belonging to the home textile, decoration, fashion and accessories sector participated.
The brands MASSANA, PUNTO BLANCO, BASSOLS, BELMARTI, JOVER, BARBER EMBROIDERY, VALENZATEX, ALTRAN SOLUTIONS, JEAN VIER and MISSENGLE have presented their products at the stand in order to boost their internationalization in Japan and Southeast Asia.
The stand was well located, in the Global zone along with other European pavilions of Italian, German and Portuguese companies. The stand has been very busy and has favored that our companies have made interesting contacts with potential buyers from both Japan and other Asian markets that have visited the event.
The results of these contacts will be specified in the medium / long term. Japan is a demanding market and requires a special follow-up to build customer loyalty.
It should be noted that, as the project indicates, an exploration of the Japanese market for most of the companies and our participation shows that those companies that have had the opportunity to exhibit with their local distributor have had many more business opportunities.
The fair has been of great interest to the participating companies. The stand has been very busy. Many of the companies in the textile-home sector have local agents and this has facilitated their contact with Japanese and Southeast Asian companies.
